BLACK CLAY CIRCLE This January, professional ceramist Toluwalope Toludare (Pottery by Tolu) started hosting his program at Forum Art Centre, and we’re excited to welcome so many new artists to the studio! |  | About the Program Black Clay Circle is a 6 week pottery mentorship and training program for beginner and intermediate Black pottery lovers in Manitoba. This program offers three hours weekly training sessions. Participants will learn foundational and advanced studio skills, explore creative expression, and gain practical guidance on turning their passion for clay into sustainable opportunities. The program also nurtures community, connection, and confidence by bringing together Black artists, entrepreneurs, and youth in a supportive studio environment. More details |

You should! Nico has been teaching youth art classes on Saturdays at Forum Art Centre since the winter 2024 session – Preteen Stop Motion Animation, Preteen Mixed Media, Preteen Painting: Telling a Story, and Children’s Art. Nico has most recently exhibited his work at the Steinbach Arts Council, where he is also an art instructor. |

| A multi-media artist who works in a wide variety of mediums, including blacksmithing, pen & ink illustration, watercolour, print making, oil painting, and wood carving. Nico completed his fine arts degree in Nicaragua and studied fine arts further at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, CA and Guilford College in North Carolina, USA. Nico creates visual stories that are full of life and intricately detailed. Illustrating radiant landscapes and building playful and curious characters from the animal personalities that surround us. |
